Matt Looney is an Alabama based tattoo artist and oil painter with over 12 years of experience honing his craft. He specializes in dark neo realism and cover ups, and works primarily out of Black Pearl Studio, which he opened in 2016.

BLACK PEARL STUDIO
Black Pearl Studio is Matt’s private tattoo studio he opened in the fall of 2016. Currently located in his hometown of Florence, Alabama, Black Pearl is Matt’s primary location for all his tattooing. Serving both local and out of state clients, as well as hosting guest spots, Black Pearl Studio strives to provide an enjoyable, professional, clean and art focused environment for both its clients and artists.

If you are interested in booking a tattoo with Matt Looney, please fill out the online consultation form. Most consultations are reviewed and responded to within 7-10 days. If your submission is accepted, further information and instructions on booking will be communicated via email.

RATES
Half-Day (3 hours) $700
Full Day (4-6 hours) $1000-1400
Multi-Session or Ongoing Project rates will be discussed and agreed upon via email prior to booking.
DEPOSIT
$150 for new projects (see Deposit Policy for details)
RESCHEDULING
Notice must be given at least 48 hours prior to your appointment date and a new appointment date will be scheduled.
ANY NOTICE FOR RESCHEDULE GIVEN LESS THAN 48 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT AND/OR NO CALL NO SHOWS WILL FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT AND A NEW DEPOSIT WILL BE REQUIRED TO REBOOK OR RESCHEDULE.
SUBJECT MATTER CHANGE
Any changes to the subject matter will require prior approval. No changes will be made or approved less than 48 hours prior to your appointment.
OUT OF TOWN CLIENT
If you are coming from out of town please note so on your Online Consultation in the “additional comments and questions” sections. I can assist you with travel information or hotel recommendations if needed.
CONSULTATION AND APPOINTMENT BOOKING
Complete the Online Consultation form. Once you have submitted your consultation, if your project is accepted you will receive an email correspondence from Matt. From there you will discuss your project, agree on a rate and appointment date(s), and you will be instructed on how to send your deposit. Once your deposit has been recieved, you will receive an email nconfirming your booked appointment(s).

ALL DESPOSITS ARE NONREFUNDABLE AND NONTRANSFERABLE
CANCELLATION / NO-SHOW / LAST MINUTE RESCHEDULE
If you cancel your appointment at any time, do no show up for your appointment, or attempt to reschedule your appointment less than 48 hrs prior to your scheduled date, you will forfeit you deposit and a new deposit will be required to rebook.
RESCHEDULE
If you ask to reschedule more than 48 hours prior to your appointment, but do not select a new appointment date within a reasonable amount of time, you will forfeit your deposit and a new deposit will be required to rebook.
If notice of reschedule is given more than 48 hours prior to your appointment, and a new date is selected and agreed upon within a reasonable amount of time, your reschedule request will be accommodated.
SUBJECT MATTER CHANGE
If you book a project and then decide you want something vastly different from what was agree upon at booking, you may forfeit your deposit unless Matt agrees to the new project.
ALL DEPOSITS WILL GO TOWARDS THE FINAL COST OF THE TATTOO ON THE FINAL SESSION.
